Apr. 1964 Company is established.
Nov. 1968 Construction of the Cheju plant is completed
Aug. 1972 Taken over by the three leading sugar refinery companies.
Jan. 1976 Construction of the Inchon plant is completed.
Mar. 1981 Constructed 55% high fructose corn syrup(HFCS) facilities.
Jan. 1982 Founded the R&D Center.
Oct. 1984 Exported 55% HFCS-manufacturing technology to Indonesia.
Jan. 1985 Transferred to Samyang Corporation.
Apr. 1985 Exported 55% HFCS-manufacturing technology to Pakistan.
Jul. 1985 Construction of the Dry-milling plant is completed.
Feb. 1986 Exported the tapioca starch-manufacturing technology to Nigeria.
Jun. 1987 Announced a public sale of stocks.
Nov. 1988 Construction of the Ulsan plant is completed.
Aug. 1993 Relocated to the Taedok R&D Complex for expansion.
Sep. 1995 Changed the company name from Sunil Glucose corp. to Samyang Genex corp.
Feb. 1996 Established a subsidiary, Samyang Techill Corp.
Aug. 1997 Construction of the Taejeon plant (for producing Genexol) is completed.
May. 1998 Obtained the ISO9002 and ISO14001 certificates
Jun. 1998 R&D center name, Samyang Genex R&D Center is changed to the Biotech Research Institute.
Apr. 1999 Awarded the gold prize in the food & drink-manufacturing category in Economic Justice Enterprise Award.
May. 1999 Awarded the Industrial Peace Grand Prize.
