In January 1976, the Inchon Plant was established and since then has made a continuous effort
towards facility rationalization and process development. The plant is now the current leader
in the development of the corn processing industry in Korea. In 1981, the plant successfully
developed modified starch for paper, and later succeeded in similar accomplishments for food
and textile. Four years later a dry-milling plant, with state-of-the-art equipment and facilities,
was established and became the supplier for top quality cornflour and environment-friendly products
such as biodegradable plastic. In June 1998, the plant won the ISO 9002 and ISO 14001, which
internationally recognizes and guarantees that Samyang Genex products are high in quality and
environment-friendly.

confident that it will emerge as the global market leader as the maker of starch and starch derivatives
in the 21st century.
