About Samyang Genex > About Our Plant> Plant > Ulsan Plant
To meet the growing demand of the industry the Ulsan plant was established in 1988 at Maeam-dong Nam-ku Ulsan city. The strategic location of the Ulsan plant meant that the facility would become a production base for the South Kyongsang and Cholla Province. Fully automated with the most advanced facilities and production processes, the plant produces sorbitol and fructooligo saccharide, both of which were previously imported. Some of the production is now exported.
Samyang Genex adopted TPM in 1993 to increase productivity and quality control. The Ulsan plant operated in an environment friendly, quality control management system and as a result won the ISO 9002 and 14001 simultaneously. Samyang Genex is prepared to become the market leader in the production of world-class starch/starch derivatives
