To commercialize and begin mass production of Genexol (Paclitaxel), an anti-cancer drug, Samyang Genex successfully
developed plant tissue culture technology for the first time in the world. With this achievement, Samyang Genex
established the Daejeon plant in Aug.1997. The Daejeon plant serves as a pharmaceutical production base with the most
advanced production facilities which meet the strictly standards required by the KGMP and cGMP. The plant also won
a DMF number for the production and sale of Genexol from the FDA in the U.S.
